So after waiting almost two weeks on shipping, I've finally received my new Alien Bees strobes. Naturally, I had to test them out on my girlfriend, Anna (who appears in numerous photos throughout this blog).
I've noticed that when you upload to the blog, colour contrast seems to decrease a little bit, which is unfortunate. But I digress.
The above photo was lit with two Alien Bees B1600 strobes (MOAR POWAR). To Anna's left (our right), there is a large size softbox, and a very slight fill (I tend to go for dramatic ratios when I'm screwing around--yay for split lighting) with a gigantic umbrella is off to her right.
